Hey Nomads,
It’s been a while since we posted. But from now on, this portal will still be active with visual inspirations, words of wisdom and nuggets of brightness and stuff to share with you how beautiful life and the world can be:)
Here’s the first big idea : If you focus on what you don’t have, you don’t have anything.
If you focus on what you have, you have EVERYTHING.
Remember that each and everyone of you can shine no matter how dark it may seem or no matter what circumstance you find yourself in:)
Made for the leaders of our time and the nomads of tommorrow.
You probably cant remember the activities, but you will always remember how the camp made you feel:)
In Life, each of us have to run our own race. And while we run our own race, we can always rely on the person on the right and the left, and lean upon one another to complete our own races together. Remember, WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.
“F.A.I.T.H = Full Assurance in The Heart
F.E.A.R = False Experiences Appearing RealAlways put your faith above your fears.
”
This was 66 minutes of our life that we will not forget.
We had to write our goals on a piece of paper, write it in an empowering way that would motivate us to achieve. And then we had to hold on to the piece of paper for 66 minutes=1 minute representing 1 year of our life. And we had to focus on our goals, visualizing it to come true. And along the way the coaches went around to motivate us or act as distractions or obstacles that we may find along our life’s path.
This activity taught us first and foremost that when life is shaky, we just had to focus on our outcome. And that no matter what happened we always had to put our faith above our fears. And if our heart really wants something, it truly can be possible. If we do whatever it takes to make it happen. And that while in life we sometimes have to run our own race, we could always lean on one another for support, encouragement and the positive energy to go the distance.
THIS WAS THE ULTIMATE NOMAD CHALLENGE.
Half of us did the physical challenge. Half did the mental. The mental challenge was where each of us were given a certain picture and we had to connect the pages together in sequence without looking at each other’s pictures. If the sequence was wrong, or if we peeked, we started over. The physical challenge was to run a series of suicide or shuttle runs continously. We could not stop until the mental challenge is overcome.
This activity stretched us to the maximum. in a team, each of us can make a difference for all of us. Each of us matters to the whole result of the team. Together Everyone Achieves More. We had to each do our part to ensure the team succeeds.
And we learnt that by encouraging one another, by being an example to others, by showing lots of positive energy we can together overcome all forms of obstacles, challenges and limiting beliefs that may stop us from achieving what we can!
